Yuma Energy purchases Chennai’s Grinntech to enhance battery solutions
Yuma Energy recently acquired Grinntech Motors & Services, a Chennai-based energy storage solutions start-up, for an undisclosed amount.
Grinntech has developed solutions customized for the changing energy demands of electric vehicles and industrial uses.
Yuma Energy will use this acquisition to expand into the electric mobility market in India. By incorporating Grinntech’s know-how in battery technologies, R&D, and manufacturing, it will be able to create a vertically integrated BaaS ecosystem that includes battery design and production, smart charging units, a multi-city swapping network, technology-based operations, and an integrated customer app.
