Visblue, Danish Battery Manufacturer, Chooses Stacks from German Company Schmalz

The Danish battery manufacturer, VisBlue, has just announced a supplier agreement with German Schmalz, which will in future supply stacks for redox flow battery systems to the Scandinavian market.

Søren Bødker, CEO of VisBlue, in a press release:

Over the last five years, we have intensively tested stacks from different suppliers all over the world.

“Our choice of stack has fallen on Schmalz due to the high quality and the very positive test results.”

Under the new agreement, the battery manufacturer VisBlue has now ensured exclusive use of the German stacks from Schmalz and the agreement gives both parties a good position in the northern European market for flow batteries.

Schmalz, with its 19 subsidiaries, is represented in more than 80 countries. The family-owned company is headquartered in Glatten, Black Forest and employs approximately 1500 people.

Visblue saw the light of day in 2014 and employs 12 people. The company is headquartered in Aarhus and is also represented in Porto, Portugal.
