October 1, 2025, Paris, France – Valeo, global leader in mobility technologies, and VoltR, specialist in the life cycle of lithium batteries, their reconditioning and remanufacturing, announced the signing of a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to develop and industrialise a joint battery repair and remanufacturing offering for small electric mobility vehicles in Europe, marking a significant step towards a more circular and sustainable economy. The combination of Valeo’s expertise in electronic battery repair and VoltR’s expertise in cell pack remanufacturing will enable material savings of at least 95%.
The rapid growth of small electric mobility devices – bicycles, scooters and other light vehicles – is generating a growing need for effective and sustainable maintenance solutions. By significantly extending battery life, Valeo and VoltR are meeting this demand while reducing the environmental footprint associated with the production of new batteries and waste management. The offer specifically aims to guarantee a reliable supply chain of high-quality reconditioned components for fleet managers, vehicle manufacturers, repair networks and battery producers.
This partnership combines Valeo’s recognised expertise in repairing and remanufacturing electronic components and small mobility batteries with VoltR’s unique know-how in assembling remanufactured energy packs from reallocated cells.
