V4Smart Introduces Generation 2 cells: A Breakthrough in High-Energy, High-Power Cylindrical Cells
V4Smart GmbH s Co. KG, formerly known as V4Drive Battery GmbH, is pushing the boundaries of lithium-ion battery technology with the introduction of its latest innovation, the Generation 2 High power C energy cell. This new cylindrical cell offers an unprecedented combination of high energy and high power density, marking a significant advancement in the industry.
Building on the success of its ultra-high-power V21700 UHP-26 cell, V4Smart is now expanding its portfolio with the Generation 2 products. The new high energy C power cell is verified by BATEMO in 18650 format, delivering almost 3.7 Ah capacity with an impressive energy density of 277 Wh/kg (757 Wh/l) while maintaining a power density of 2.73 kW/kg (7.47 kW/l). The flagship product of the Generation 2 high energy C power cell is available in A-sample under the name V21700 HP-5X, expanding V4Smart’s product portfolio with extended energy content in a different form factor. The increased energy density is achieved through the adoption of a silicon- based anode, utilizing SCC55® material from Group14 Technologies, the world’s largest global manufacturer and supplier of advanced silicon battery materials.
Designed with a tabless architecture, the Generation 2 high energy C power cell minimizes internal resistance and ensures superior thermal management. This makes it an ideal solution for high-performance applications that require both high energy and high power such as automotive, power tools, aerospace, and many more applications, where safety and efficiency are the key to success.
