UK Government’s Automotive Transformation Fund and Altilium Metals on completion of a Feasibility Study proving commercial scale battery recycling in the UK to support the scale up of the it’s zero emission automotive supply chain.

The Altilium Metals planned Teesside plant once operational will be the biggest source of domestic Cathode Active Material from recycling in the UK, strengthening a local supply chain currently reliant on China while creating a more sustainable planet for all of us.

In future battery manufacturers and automotive OEM’s will be mandated to use a minimum quantity of recycled raw materials and supply of a low carbon cathode active material offers the unique customer proposition of full battery circularity.

We are thrilled that the Automotive Transformation Fund has recognised the enormous potential in Altilium Metals and its contribution to the future of a clean energy economy by supplying high volumes of anode and cathode battery materials from waste streams already in circulation.

We  look forward to continuing the relationship with the Automotive Transformation Fund through their capital investment and R&D funding programs as we move to the next stage of the project.
