Italvolt building the first battery gigafactory in Italy, is a historic step for Southern Europé, this is the largest industrial investment in Italy in modern time, with a capacity up to 45 Gwh will be able to supply the European automotive industry with green sustainable batteries.
We are currently evaluating three sites in Italy, which will all meet our demands on logistics, green energy and space. Our 100 hectare gigasite will accomodate a substantial part of the local supply chain and be an important boost for the local and national economy in Italy, creating thousands of new jobs.
The gigafactory will accomodate up to 4,000 blue collar workers, whilst the wider Italvolt eco-system will create up to 15,000 new jobs.
The 300.000 m2 gigafactory is the 12th largest footprint in the World.
