London, UK – March 6th, 2025; Green tech start-up Flint Engineering has today unveiled IsoMat, a breakthrough technology to confront the climate crisis. With global temperatures rising, this innovative solution promises to transform temperature management across multiple industries while dramatically reducing energy consumption.
At its core, IsoMat reinvents traditional heat pipe technology through an innovative flat aluminium sheet design, featuring an internal network of sealed channels. When exposed to temperature differentials, the liquid within these channels undergoes a rapid cycle of evaporation and condensation, resulting in near-instantaneous heat transfer across the entire surface.
Enabling thermal energy transfer approximately 5,000 times more efficiently than copper or aluminium alone, IsoMat opens myriad new possibilities across multiple sectors.
In construction, IsoMat’s integration into building cladding systems offers remarkable potential. By harnessing ambient temperature differences to naturally heat or cool buildings, IsoMat roof cladding could potentially harvest enough energy from the air to power an entire home, dramatically reducing building energy consumption.
Commercial refrigeration can also see dramatic improvements through IsoMat’s simple shelf replacement system. Rather than relying on circulated cold air alone, refrigerated items are chilled through direct contact with IsoMat shelves. When incorporated into battery pack casings, it distributes thermal energy evenly, maintaining batteries at an optimal 25 degrees (±1°).
