CeLLife Technologies Closes €4 Million Post-Seed Round to Scale Battery Quality and Health Intelligence Platform
TAMPERE, FINLAND — 29 May 2026 — CeLLife Technologies, a Finnish deep-tech company building a battery quality and health intelligence platform for the global battery industry, has closed a €4 million post-seed funding round. The round brings together the European Innovation Council (EIC), new investors 2C Ventures (Estonia) and Butterfly Ventures (Finland), alongside existing investors including Ventech (France).
CeLLife’s patented Electrical Fingerprint (EFP™) technology captures rich battery measurement data in seconds and converts it into actionable diagnostics, traceability, and decision support. The platform is designed to help battery manufacturers, module and pack assemblers, recyclers, and energy storage operators make faster and more informed decisions across the battery lifecycle. The technology is chemistry-agnostic, working across NMC, LFP, NCA, solid-state, and sodium-ion cells, and is protected by multiple granted patents.
The company has already secured paying customers across three market segments and signed its first major commercial contract with a leading European recycling company. CeLLife was also named among the Top 10 winners of the European Startup Prize for Mobility in 2025.
Dr. Roni Luhtala, Co-founder and CEO of CeLLife Technologies, said:
This funding enables us to accelerate the commercial rollout of CeLLife’s battery quality and health intelligence platform,
“Battery manufacturers, recyclers, and energy storage operators all face the same challenge: they need faster, more reliable visibility into battery quality, condition, and performance. We are building the diagnostics and decision-support infrastructure needed across the full battery lifecycle.”
Mr. Hendrik Reimand, Founding Partner at 2C Ventures, said:
CeLLife’s technology has the potential to disrupt battery diagnostics across the entire value chain, from manufacturing to inbound quality control and end-of-life recycling
“It combines a clear value proposition to customers and a disruptive commercial opportunity with a significant environmental benefit, exactly what we look for at 2C Ventures”.
The funding will be used to scale commercial operations across Europe and North America, with a focus on battery recycling, module and pack assembly quality control, and a condition monitoring solution for battery energy storage systems (BESS). CeLLife’s platform strategy is aligned with growing market demand for battery traceability, lifecycle intelligence, and digital records under the EU Battery Regulation, including battery passport requirements coming into force for relevant battery categories from February 2027.
