ACC, automotive cells company – an electric lunch! Yann Vincent had lunch with Emmanuel Macron at the Paris Motor Show.
There are those who queue up to enter the Paris Motor Show… and those who take the opportunity to share a lunch with the President of the Republic!
This was the case for Yann Vincent, who was invited on to the lunch organised around Emmanuel Macron by the PFA (La Plateforme de la Filière Automobile, which brings together all the players in the sector in France).
It was an opportunity to discuss the major issues affecting the automotive sector. It was also a golden opportunity to make a date with President Macron to visit our ACC site in Billy-Berclau in the Hauts-de-France region in a few months.
The future of automotive will be electric! This 2022 edition of the Paris Motor Show was indeed showcasing an electric, greener and connected mobility, at the forefront of innovation and progress.
Carlos Tavares, CEO of our shareholder Stellantis, announced at the show that 12 electric vehicle models would be produced in France. This production should bring us closer to the government’s objectives, which include the production of one million 100% electric vehicles in France by 2027, two million by 2030 and a switch to all-electric vehicles by 2035.
To support this development, President Emmanuel Macron announced on the sidelines of the Motor Show several aid measures, including:
- an increase in the ecological bonus from 6,000 to 7,000 euros for low-income households.
- a measure allowing French households to benefit from an electric car for €100/month.
- The extension of the tariff shield to charging stations. A measure that should begin in January 2023.
This 89th Paris Motor Show 2022, confirms the central role that the electric vehicle will play in the mobility of the future. And this whets our appetite!
